Mike's GTR E85

Yesterday was a pretty fun day here @ TopSpeed!!! We got a chance to put MikeWads 2012 Alpha10 back on the dyno for a C16 tune as well as some tweaks on E85! First off was the E85 tune, just as last time we ran out of fuel right around 800whp but during one of the final pulls Doug noticed a small peace of data that he wasn't happy with. At full load the fuel pumps was only seeing 11 volts. After a few minutes of planning Doug went to work designing a wiring kit with the intent of keeping the voltage to the fuel pumps over 13 volts at all times. 30 minutes later we began doing pulls again. First dyno Doug watched as the AFRs went rich even with the same calibration! Now that the GT-R had the correct voltage the pumps were flowing much better at high RPM supplying the fuel we needed.

The result.....121 WHP MORE power on E85 while still retaining very safe fueling & boost levels! (Final Numbers here)

On to C16 it was time to turn up the wick. None of us really knew what to expect due to the stock heads on Mike's 2012. Not only were we running on stock cams, but also stock valve springs. The factory valve springs limited the ability to run the car out to higher RPM. Giving up 1000 RPM is mostly likely an equivalent of about 50-70 HP given the way that the power band runs.

After about an hour of calibrating Doug was ready to start doing pulls on race gas! Pull after pull the car just kept getting happier! The Alpha10 turbos love boost, as they get turned up they operate much more efficiently. The final numbers were nothing less than amazing given the components!! 1019 HP & 794 TQ @ 34PSI of Boost!!!!

All of us including Mike were very happy with the results. Keep in mind this is Mike's daily driver, it has a resonated 84mm y-pipe coupled with the small 84mm HKS exhaust! The car is butter smooth, and drives/sounds like a stock 2012 ..... that is until you hammer the throttle!

We want to thank Mike for choosing us to work with on this project! This car has been a blast for us to be a part of! Mike is a true gear head and enthusiast, I can't say enough about his dedication to cars, quality and racing!
